Only thing is that they don't take credit cards. Prices are very reasonable considering how much food you get. Incredible selection of toppings and add ins.

Their food is beyond amazing. The restaurant is comfortable and very clean and the staff is unbelievably friendly and somehow become family by the end of our visit. Five stars!

Ok I eat a lot of waffles from a lot of different places, but I think these are THE best I have ever had! I didn't really want to stop eating to take a picture but I knew I would have to write a review. The place has a small town country diner vibe and is very quaint. I will now go out of my way to come here for these waffles more often and that is the biggest compliment of all!

We have been going here for years.... They have a ridiculously long list of pancakes... Something like 100 different types... And the portions are HUGE. Well worth the money. They are priced well for the amount that you get and that it is in downtown Ridgewood. Two things to note... They only take cash... And they can get busy so plan on a wait... But it is worth your time!!

Country Pancake House is certainly the phrase "quantity over quality", but in a few ways.I have been here twice in the past year, and in both occurrences there were many waiters/waitresses, but I had to wait 20 minutes for something as simple as asking a question about a menu item.The food, though average, didn't come off as anything of super quality because they put out huge servings. I had really bad indigestion the first time I ate there, but I brushed it off as eating too much. The second time I got a smaller portion, ate less of that, and still had pain. Maybe the food didn't sit quite right, but there are few restaurants that have done that to me.The wait staff is very nice, however I find that their lack of attention is off-putting, as though they are putting on an act. The restaurant definitely has an interesting business model, but not one I like nor recommend to eat at.

Good service, good food

My, my, my. This place is something else, retro and very clean. The servers super friendly & polite. The breakfast my brother and I ate was super delicious. He had the fried eggs corn beef hash with hash browns and I had the huge Yankee pancakes. Their corn bread, chocolate chips & regular was mouthwatering. It's was to much food for us big Boys so we had to doggie bag the leftovers. The next day the leftovers were all gone.

Delicious pancakes and waffles that draw a hungry line every weekend. Portions are generous and well worth the wait but don't forget to bring cash. Got there once before the wait at 9am and noticed wait staff how anxious was to keep moving tables with the server constantly coming back to see if was ready to order. Regardless, would recommend this spot.

This place was great. I will warn you, GO WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY! The food is great but there is a lot of it. The people here are really good. They were a bit busy but the staff were attentive. You will also need cash to pay. They have an ATM but it is a lot easier just to have it with you already. My whole family loves this place.

pancakes, Pancakes PANCAKES!! Massive menu, with seemingly every variation of fruit, nuts, chips and unique. The standard portion is HUGE, I recommend getting short stack which is still 2 generous plate-sized 'cakes. The dining room has a quaint country-kitchen decor, service was quick, coffee was excellent, prices good. If you're not in the mood for cakes, the menu also has a large selection of eggs, omelettes, frittatas, Benedict's and French toast. Lunch features sandwiches, savory crepes and burgers.Great choice! Local gem!

The service was fast and they gave delicious complimentary corn bread. The pancakes are huge and very filling but we were not huge fans of the taste. Would def go back and try other things on the menu which is extensive.

Best pancake house in Bergen County. Cash only so be sure to bring a lot of it. Huge portions which I love and so many options to choose from. Every time I go I always gotta try something new

Love this place. I've been coming for years. Great service. On a good traffic day, it's a short drive from the Bronx. I must warn you. The portions are HUUUUUGE, The prices are great. The average wait is 20, 30, 40 minutes.

Great location, AMAZING low prices (especially for ginormous portions) and great service. So many options, the menu accommodates for dietary needs as well as offering a hefty selection in general. They give you complimentary chocolate chip cornbread which is a nice addition. The seating arrangement isn't the best when it's crowded, but lunch times usually aren't too overly busy. Parking can be a little difficult to get, but there's metered parking from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday along East Ridgewood Ave. It's good for families and couples and even dining alone is fun. It's a cozy, diner like environment in the heart of Ridgewood.

If you want to feel like a child again - happy from eating super delicious things and not having to worry if you can afford it, then come to Country Pancake House. Their menu include items like orange pancakes with orange liquor and orange juice, Greek fritata, desperately healthy pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast and loads more! Everything is truly delicious and yes - the portions ARE HUGE!

Great yummy food and service was alright. Very friendly but a bit slower than I expected. It was my first time there so we were not familiar with the fact that we needed to pay at the counter on the side rather than part or server. Server didn't return to the table so we figured it out. Cashier was friendly. Very family friendly environment. Banana chocolate chip pancakes were good and the coffee tasted great.

The service was awesome and the food was yummy! We ordered an over baked pancake that took 40mins to cook, it was worth the wait. ***The oversize chocolate chip pancakes was not ordered by us, the person did mention it was delicious.

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants to go to! Anything I've ever had here before (eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, ribs, chicken tenders, jumbo shrimp, fries, corn bread, and more) is absolutely perfect and could not be much better. Although the menu is extensive, and some may think it's overwhelming, anything picked will be the right choice! The food is absolutely fresh at all times (been there from 11am until 9pm) and has huge portions. This place is guaranteed to bring home leftovers unless you haven't eaten in three days! And on top of the food, the staff is wonderful. Always welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only warning here is that sometimes the wait for a table could be long. On a Saturday morning, depending on how many people are in the party, expect up to a half hour during prime time hours. Otherwise I've had a table of 8 with no problem. Again, if you haven't been here before, what are you waiting for!?! 100% recommend

Nice spot for breakfast! The food is delicious but served in LARGE portions so you may not be able to finish your food. Prices are great compared to the portion size. Service was GOOD and the location is nice also. The place is cash only but there's an ATM there. I'll definitely go there again.

Ton of food here people. Bring cash no credit. I can eat and the amount of food that came could feed 3 people no problem. Pancakes were fluffy eggs were runny how I like it and home fries that can feed a army. I'll be back no question about it

This place was worth the 40 minute drive! The pancakes are out of this world! Beyond amazing! And the eggs were fantastic as well. New favorite breakfast place. When I went on Saturday at 10am, it was PACKED. We waited about 20 mins in a very crowded, kind of awkward area, but it was worth it. CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM there.

Endless variety of delicious food with portions a giant couldn't finish. I love their omelets and pancakes. You will never leave here hungry.

Country Pancake House is well known for it's extra large pancakes. It's a cozy inviting place with friendly staff. A large menu that has something for everyone. Seating is pretty tight, creating an almost communal dining experience which is good and bad depending on who you get seated next to!

It's okay, not raving. Com'on it's just breakfast. The servings are very large and can easily be split between two people. However the service could be better. I went early on a Sunday morning about 8am and it was fairly empty, it started to pickup within the next 40 mins. As it got busy it took a while for the server to return, he gave me the check and a to go box, but not a bag... they were hanging on the entry divider by the front door. Not being picky, but it's the little things. I struggled a bit to pull the bag off cause my hands were full.

Awesome lil pancake house, service is great and everything we ordered was delicious, they have every type of pancake you can think of. Definitely recommend, FYI they Only except Cash. So make sure to stop by the ATM before you get here.

OMG Delicious. The pancakes are amazing and the french toast as well but that's not all. Their shakes are also very good. The food tastes very fresh. The ambiance is also nice. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and tomato on rye and it was delicious. The mozzarella sticks were perfect. Our waiter was super friendly, funny and attentive. Their dishes are large enough to share. There's a good vibe in this place. We'll definitely come back next time we are in this area.

First of all, prepare for a doggie bag no matter what. That or don't eat anything the night before. The blueberry (Yankee something) we're incredible, the omelette is not only massive, but great (I had the Greek omelette), the service is superb and the surrounding area/town is beautiful to explore. Treat yourself and order lightly...unless you like doggy bags.

Food was de-lish!! Pancakes where as big as the plate! The hamburger was bigger then the bun! Cornbread & butter were out of this world! By the way..they only take cash!

Good place the only thing I don't like is that it only had margarine and not butter. For bread or pancakes. Othwrwisr everything was excellent.

Huge portions at an affordable price! Got a waffle topped with blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Friend got a waffle topped with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and a huge scoop of nutella. Everything taste great!
